Carolina Filters, Inc. was founded in 1968 when Richard C. Dwight recognized the forthcoming trend of "outside contracting" for industrial services. He developed a staff of technicians and engineers to furnish air filters and provide service for air filter systems in plants throughout the southeastern United States.

In response to our client needs, the Process Equipment Cleaning Division was created to provide cleaning services for stainless steel filters and related parts such as pumps, piping and valves. From our base in Sumter, South Carolina, we have expanded our offering to include spinneret and pack cleaning services. These services give our customers an attractive option to costly in-house cleaning facilities and also improve the performance of the equipment.

With the media attention that has been brought to improving the indoor air quality in offices, Carolina Filters expanded its Indoor Air Quality Division to include IAQ audits and HVAC systems cleaning such as duct cleaning, coil cleaning, and overhead cleaning in commercial buildings, hospitals, and schools. Carolina Filters offers specialty maintenance like fire and smoke damper inspections and other HVAC maintenance tasks. Personnel are trained and certified in the specific areas of IAQ, as well as state of the art cleaning equipment, that they specialize in.

Still family owned and operated four decades later, Carolina Filters, Inc. continues to develop a staff that understands our philosophy, "Committed to Quality Service." We are here to provide customer service whether it is a quick shipment of replacement filters from our inventory, dependable service on plant air systems or complete cleaning and testing of process filters and equipment.
