Testing Summary
Carolina Filters tests adhere to ISO 9000:2000 standards. Visual inspection and pressure measurements are utilize to determine whether a filter is clean and viable. Specific tests include:
- Bump Testing
- Bubble Point Testing
- Wetted Air Flow Testing
- Dry Air Permeability Testing
- Videoscope Inspection
- Weights
CFI recognizes the importance of precision and accuracy in all areas of filter testing and evaluation. As such, equipment is maintained to perform the above tests on all standard filter elements. When challenged with unique filter configurations, our in-house engineering and fabrication services are utilized to develop testing methodologies, which produce meaningful results.
Our Goals of Testing
- To Validate that the integrity of the filter is such that the filter can be put back into service and produce non-defective product
- To Evaluate the filter non-destructively to ensure cleanliness
Customized Reporting The goal of our reporting process is to provide information on the integrity, condition, and status of the filters. Test information can be reported in a variety of ways based on customer desire. Reports typically include:
- Set Identification
- Individual Test Values by Serial Number
- Testing Criteria
- Micron Rating and Filter Manufacturer
- Number of Cleaning Cycles
- Set Statistics
CFI also maintains an extensive database and can provide historical information on any individual filter or set upon request.
