Hydraulic Filters
Carolina Filters, Inc. sells hydraulic filters that keep abrasive particles from entering the system and damaging sensitive components such as pumps, motors, and valves. It is important to remove these particles to prevent premature wear on a machine/component and, worst case senario, system failure. As hydraulic systems become more elaborate, it becomes increasingly important to use filtration products you can rely on. Some of the common applications are gases, water, chemicals, fuel, air, and oil components. Carolina Filters, Inc. sales a wide range of hydraulic filters that include manufacturers such as Pall, Parker, Hycon, Fram, Donaldson, Hilco, Vickers, Stauff, PTI, and many more.
Common Hydraulic Filters

Pleated Paper
Elements rated at Beta (Bx¡Ý) 2 efficiency; 5, 10, 20 and 40 nominal micron ratings; Element collapse ratings range between 150 PSID to 300 PSID; Extended surface area pleated media for long service life and high flow capabilities; Media pack totally encapsulated in sealant to eliminate fluid bypass; Heavy gauge metal end caps or plastisol ends to ensure integrity seal. |
Pleated Wire
Element efficiency ranges between 2 microns to 1000 microns; Collapse ratings between 300 to 6,000 PSID; Made of stainless steel wire cloth; Elements are typically used in hostile environments and can be re-used when cleaned using Ultrasonics.

Spin On
Absolute and nominal rated elements; Water absorbing elements; Many dimensions available to meet space requirements; Low and medium pressure applications; Water and particulate removal for industrial in-plant equipment, lube systems and return line hydraulic systems. |
Suction Strainer
Element efficiency ranges between 30 microns to 200 microns; Multiple configurations are offered to meet any application; used for larger contaminates in suction lines of pumps. |
Water Absorbing
High water absorbing capacity; Oil additives unaffected; Positive shut-off with pressure differential indicator; Collapse pressure 75 PSID; Recommended change out 25 PSID. |
Breather Filters
First line of defense in contamination control; Feature color indicating silica gel and self cleaning 2-micron filtration; Activated carbon breathers available; remove water, solid particles, and other contaminants from air being breathed into reservoirs, transformers, storage tanks, and gearboxes. |
