IAQ Technician

Carolina Filters, Inc. a Sumter, SC  based polymer/fiber equipment cleaning and indoor air quality specialist organization is currently seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of IAQ Technician.

Position Description

Work with Crew Supervisor and other technicians to accomplish safe, effective and efficient cleaning and restoration of air distribution systems and components, mold remediation, overhead cleaning, bag house (dust collector) cleaning and changing, HVAC preventative maintenance, fire damper inspection and certification and any other industrial or commercial cleaning as required.
        

Job Responsibilities

• Understand National Air Duct Cleaning Association (NADCA) Standards and Carolina Filters, Inc. policies and standards.
• Comply with Crew Supervisor requirements and site requirements for each specific job.
• Attend pre job risk assessment and safety briefing.
• Operate all equipment and tools safely required to complete assigned job.
•  Maintain communication with Crew Supervisor about all aspects of job.
• Report any problems to Crew Supervisor.
• Properly maintain all tools and equipment, storage areas and company vehicles.
• Ability to comply with all safety rules, company and contract site.
• Must be able to follow detailed Instructions

Additional Requirements

• Travel is required and spend most nights and weekends at job site.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights on lifts and ladders and in dusty, dirty, oily and/or moldy environments.
• Must be able to pass Pulmonary Function Test and Respirator Fit Test.
• Excellent Driving Record
• Clean Background check
