Maintenance Technician

Work Hours:                3rd Shift  

Location:                      Sumter, SC

Starting Pay Rate:         $14.00

 

Description:

Perform related support duties to include; PM’s, Work orders and projects concerning mechanical and electrical maintenance on all equipment and grounds as required at the Sumter Facility.                                       

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspects, repair and perform preventative maintenance of facilities, equipment and grounds.
  • Performs daily and emergency maintenance tasks SAFELY with little or no supervision.
  • Performs electrical repair and trouble shooting on all plant equipment.
  • Performs fabrication and welding using MIG and ARC welding techniques.
  • Performs lock, tag, and try procedures for all jobs throughout the plant.
  • Performs additional maintenance duties as required to assist sales, service, and administrative divisions.
  • Ensures all daily data is keyed in maintenance daily software system.
  • Keys all labor and repair parts in systems daily.
  • Performs root cause analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Training and Experience:

·        Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED.

·        3 Years of experience in maintenance as a technician.

·        Basic knowledge of relay logic and controls.

·        Experience using various types of trouble shooting equipment.

·        Welding (MIG and ARC)

·        Experience working with natural gas. 

·        Plumbing (Fresh water and drainage)

 

Preferred Training and Experience

·        3 Years of experience with prove mechanical skills.

·        Understanding and sizing motor controls.

·        Knowledge and operation of pipe treading equipment, automatic and manual threading equipment.

·        Wiring, AC / DC motors (all voltages)

·        Computer literate and working knowledge of maintenance PM software system.

·        Boiler experience, basic operation.

·        Knowledge of electric and pneumatic pumps.

·         Basic understanding of HVAC.

·        Basic wiring of 120 VAC , 277 lighting, and 480 VAC 3 Phase power.
