DEECOM®

How it works

This chemical-free technology, developed and patented by B&M Longworth of the UK, replaces traditional solvent cleaning by using superheated steam operating with pressure swings and rapid decompressions. The mechanical removal of polymer embedded in the metallic filter media, along with some percentage of hydrolysis, provides a clean, environmentally friendly method of bulk depolymerization.

What we do

In addition to using DEECOM® for initial bulk depolymerization, this technology provides exceptional particle removal via the rapid decompressions and pressure swings. From barium-based additives to titanium dioxide (TiO2), technical additives used in polymer manufacturing are typically the most difficult items to remove during the cleaning process. Carolina Filters routinely utilizes DEECOM® for deep cleaning of filter media by removing the additives and inorganics found in polymers.

"Throughout my career at Carolina Filters, our unwavering commitment to new and cutting edge technology has established us as the world's leader in metallic filter cleaning and testing."
