Ettlinger Screen Cleaning

Ettlinger Screen Cleaning

Ettlinger Screen cleaning uses a cleaning method that removes contamination resulting from recycled polymer melt processes involving degradation products, silica, aluminum, and other materials which will result in shortened filter life and replacement of the screen assembly. Carolina Filters has developed a cleaning process to remove the bulk polymer, as well as other organic and inorganic material that has become embedded in the filter media.

An oven process is used to remove most of the organic material but additional chemical processing/flushing is needed to open all the microscopic holes in the media.  Microscopic inspection of the conical and internal screen structure during and after cleaning provides essential information about the degree of cleanliness of the Ettlinger Screen assembly prior to installation.
